Chakra Meditations You Can Do Any Time

Chakra Meditations You Can Do Any Time

Chakra meditations are intended to clear and balance the chakras and to ‘recharge your batteries’ with an influx of life force energy. You can do these anytime you feel something is amiss in your life. It doesn’t matter if the problems you are having are physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Frequent chakra meditations will keep the system balance and humming along perfectly. They don’t take long to do so they’re easy to fit into the busiest schedules.

You can do chakra meditations either lying down, standing or sitting; the only rule is to be sure that your spine is straight to enable free energy flow.

How to Do Chakra Meditations
First, familiarize yourself with the seven chakras! It is important to know the role that each of the chakras plays in your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. This will help you when you are sitting with your eyes closed, visualizing each chakra.

Before you do any sort of balancing or clearing meditations, be sure to do a self-assessment. You have to know where your biggest blockages are. That way you can focus a little extra energy on clearing the big blockages. Do that, and the lesser blockages may spontaneously clear up. It’s like having a series of dams in a creek. Each dam is of varying strength, either allowing more or less water to flow through. If you were to do equal amounts of clearing on each dam, some may disappear altogether and some may still be problematic so take on the big ones first – the force of the release of energy from the big blockages may be enough to open the smaller ones with very little additional effort.

Begin by identifying blockages.

Important – don’t start your meditation by focusing on the big blockages – do the meditation in order from root chakra to crown chakra – just focus a little extra energy and effort on the worst-affected chakras.

How do you identify where your blockages are? If you are familiar with the functions of each chakra, you can easily spot problems in your life: unhappy relationships, poor finances, specific health issues, emotional difficulties and so on, as they relate to each chakra. It’s well worth taking the time to ‘scan’ yourself for problems. Start at the root chakra. Read up on its roles and see if you have any corresponding problems. Write down your results and insights. Then move up through each chakra and write down where you are struggling. You’ll notice that some chakras are pretty well blocked while others are relatively clear. Writing down your results and identifying the worst blockages will help you formulate a plan for intensifying your energy to clear a particular chakra.

Be sure to start your chakra meditations at the root chakra at the base of your spine. This is your ‘foundation’ – the chakra that supports your security, health and your sense of connection to the world. Without a strong foundation, the rest are unsteady so don’t start in the middle somewhere, start at the bottom. From the root chakra, move your attention upward through each of the chakras, finishing with a meditation on the crown chakra, which is your mind/spirit connection.

Use your imagination to bring the healing energy of light and love to:

The color of each chakra. A color is nothing more than a specific energetic vibration. This is important – there is a reason the color is associated with a particular chakra! The frequencies correspond to the nature and function of the chakra. When you visualize the chakra, you can focus on intensifying and brightening the color.

The functions of each chakra. If you know what each chakra does, you can focus on improving or enhancing that aspect of yourself. But don’t worry if you can’t remember each chakra’s role! Don’t add to your stress by not being able to dig up that information from your memory. If you have read about these before you started, the information is stored in your memory; don’t worry if you have trouble retrieving that memory. Simply focus all of your attention on feeling good. That’s all: feeling GOOD, feeling happy, feeling loved and light…
Spiritually

Emotionally

Mentally

Physically

Love. Send Love to each chakra. Fill each chakra with the light energy of Love. This will intensify and brighten each chakra. There’s really no limit as to how long you can hold the energy of Love in each chakra. Take your time. Don’t rush through this element of chakra meditations!

The flow of energy through the chakras. One way is to imagine each chakra as a spinning wheel of energy. You can mentally influence the direction and speed of each spin. First, imagine the chakra wheel spinning in one direction, the one that intuitively feels easiest at the moment. Try this right now, as you’re reading, with just the root chakra – imagine it spinning and you will automatically imagine it spinning in a certain direction. Roll with that -use it as your starting point. If the spinning feels sluggish, mentally speed it up. Then, after 30 seconds or so, mentally focus on spinning the chakra in the opposite direction for an equal length of time. This might feel unnatural and weird, but in order to balance the chakra, ‘spin’ it in both directions. Then after spinning it in the opposite direction for 30 seconds or so, let it settle into its own spin and direction. What this does is open the chakras in both directions, meaning the flow of energy is equal coming into the chakra as well as going out. Move up through the chakras one by one. This will feel amazing – you can literally feel the energy surge through the body!
When you do this meditation often – at least once a week – you will find it is easier to remain balanced and ‘in the Flow’. You can do this anytime you feel out of sorts, or make it a part of a ‘maintenance plan’ that is a part of your holistic self-care program.
